The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the ten nominees for the 2026 Coach of the Year award as it continues to announce candidates for this year’s CAF Awards. The shortlist features several prominent figures in African football, including former Morocco coach Walid Regragui and his successor, Mohamed Ouahbi. Senegal head coach Pape Thiaw and DR Congo manager Sébastien Desabre also feature among the contenders.

The selection brings together coaches from both national teams and clubs across the continent. Lamine N’Diaye, who leads USM Alger, joins Cape Verde coach Pedro Leitão Brito, popularly known as Bubista, and Egypt manager Hossam Hassan. Zamalek coach Moatamed Gamal, AS FAR manager Alexandre Santos and Mamelodi Sundowns boss Miguel Cardoso complete the list. With such a diverse group of candidates, the competition for the prestigious individual award promises to attract considerable attention.
