Ethan Page defeated Chad Gable to become Intercontinental Champion during "WWE Raw."

Gable started the match off strong, immediately shooting for a successful takedown and assuming control from there. But he soon found his neck targeted, neutralizing him and keeping him down under a spell from Page. 

Gable found a way back into the bout with three variations of a roll-up each for a near-fall, but was quickly brought back down with a big boot for Page to get a near-fall. Page went straight back to the neck but Gable dropped him with a side leg sweep, dragging his legs out of the ring the right one into the ring post. 

Gable returned to the ring and continued to kick at the leg, following up with a pair of dragonscrews and a German suplex to start off a series. Page ripped off the turnbuckle cover as Gable sought to continue the suplex series, escaping that falling victim to the ankle lock all the same. 

Page made it to the ropes and rolled out of the ring, but Gable followed and delivered an Olympic Slam onto the announcer's desk. He returned Page to the ring and delivered a moonsault, going for what looked to be the winning cover until the kick-out. 

Page turned the tides after slamming Gable's face into the barricade and dumping him over it with a powerslam into the timekeeper's area. Gable looked to have the win after a Chaos Theory in the ring, but due to the damage to his neck he had to break the bridging cover at two.

Page hit Twisted Grin but Gable still survived, fighting through to cinch in the ankle lock once more. Page kicked Gable out of the lock and into the exposed turnbuckle before connecting with the Ego-Plex for the winning pinfall.

Gable was making the fifth defense of his title, having dethroned Penta for it at SummerSlam in August.
