Enzo Amore had talks with WWE this year and still wants to go to WWE, but he is not signed, according to Fightful Select, as Big Cass works on Raw without him.
Enzo Amore held talks with WWE this year and still wants to return to the company, but he has not signed, according to Fightful Select.
Asked in a Fightful Select Q&A about Big Cass and whether WWE plans to bring Amore back as Cass’ tag team partner on Raw, Fightful said there is nothing new on Cass.
“There is no scoop on Big Cass. He was signed, he’s been on the show, and is slotted where they see him. It’s definitely puzzling to the audience. Enzo Amore had talks with WWE this year, and from what I understand, still wants to go to WWE. However, he is not signed,” the report said. “It definitely would be the reverse order of how people should be brought in, as Enzo struggling then bringing in Cass would have made more sense, but I don’t know that’s the plan anyway, or that there even is a plan.”
Cass returned to WWE on the August 3 Raw in Des Moines, Iowa, attacking Je’Von Evans, after leaving AEW, where he worked as Big Bill. On this week’s Raw in Fresno, California, he teamed with Ethan Page to beat Chad Gable and Dragon Lee.
Amore has not been with WWE since January 2018. He and Cass teamed in NXT and on Raw until Cass turned on him in 2017, and Amore went on to win the Cruiserweight Championship. Amore said earlier this year that he and Cass still talk every week.
