He is believed to want to test himself with a return to English football at some point in his career, having departed for Europe while he was still a teenager.

Brown's career has taken him to Swiss side Lausanne, Belgium's Gent, and now the Turkish Super Lig since leaving the UK, but there is reportedly widespread interest in bringing him back to England.

Premier League competition is strong, consisting of long-time Reds rivals Chelsea and Manchester United, while Newcastle, Merseyside neighbours Everton, and Brighton are said to all be monitoring the situation.

Brown, a former England Under-20 international, moved to Turkey from Gent at the start of last season and has made 54 appearances for the club, scoring eight goals and registering nine assists.
