A football player named Jesús de Miguel sadly passed away.

To help his family, a football team called UD Almería is giving away all the money they make from selling tickets for their upcoming home game against CD Tenerife.

The move was set up by club president Mohammed Al Khereiji, who wants to give financial help to the family after their loss.

The club said it knows that money cannot make up for losing a loved one.

In a statement quoted by ESPN on Wednesday, Almería said no kind of support, financial or emotional, can ease the pain of a tragedy like this.

Even so, the club hopes that giving the full match proceeds will bring some comfort to the family during this painful time.

The announcement also draws attention to the club's ownership.

Cristiano Ronaldo bought a 25 per cent stake in Almería earlier this year.
