Liverpool visit second-from-bottom Crystal Palace on Sunday as head coach Andoni Iraola seeks to halt his first run of consecutive defeats since taking over.

It is one of five Premier League matches before the international break. Four start at 14:00 GMT, including Sunderland against Chelsea, before Manchester United welcome Aston Villa to Old Trafford later Sunday.

Liverpool lost to Arsenal and, away in midweek, to Fenerbahce, with both defeats coming within seven days. Arsenal extended their lead at the top on Saturday.

Iraola has brought Ronald Araujo, Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz, Cody Gakpo and Alexander Isak back into his starting side following the loss at Fenerbahce. Dominik Szoboszlai joins Alexis Mac Allister in midfield, with Trey Nyoni moving to the bench.

Liverpool’s full starting team is Alisson, Araujo, Jacquet, Van Dijk, Kerkez, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Barcola, Wirtz, Gakpo and Isak. On the bench are Mamardashvili, Gomez, Endo, Tsimikas, Munoz, Nyoni, McConnell, Koumas and Ngumoha.

A heel injury keeps Ryan Gravenberch out after the midfielder missed Liverpool’s last two games. He was omitted from the Netherlands squad for the break.

Defender Jeremie Frimpong is not expected to return before the international break ends, Liverpool.com reported. Long-term absentees Giovanni Leoni, Conor Bradley and Hugo Ekitike are still working toward a return to training.

Liverpool.com described Palace manager Pierre Sage as under pressure and said there were signs of trouble in the dressing room. The outlet said Palace regularly tormented Liverpool last season.

Kickoff is at 2 p.m. UK time, or 9 a.m. ET, with NBCSN and Peacock showing the game in the United States.

Sunderland sit one place below Palace at the foot of the table and have gone without a win since August. They lost 2-0 at home to Zagreb on Thursday, The Telegraph reported.

Trai Hume, who scored the winner for Sunderland in this fixture last season, previously put responsibility for the poor form on the players. "Everything's a bit laboured, and it's something the staff can't fix, it's on us as players," Hume said.

Hume previously said the team thought it had dealt with its problems after the Leeds game, only to see "the old habits of the start of the season" return. "We're still together as a club, as a team," he said.

Chelsea are fourth under manager Xabi Alonso, with three wins from their past four league matches. The Telegraph said Chelsea are expected to win and that anything less would raise questions about their title credentials.

Before kickoff, fans at the Stadium of Light are to remember the fallen. Sunderland and Chelsea each posted their starting line-ups on social media before the match.

Brighton face Brentford and Ipswich play Bournemouth in Sunday’s other 14:00 GMT games.

Manchester United’s match against Aston Villa closes the league schedule at Old Trafford at 16:30 GMT, with BBC Radio 5 Live providing commentary.
