Egypt To Host 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League

Egypt has been confirmed as the host nation for the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League, Completesports.com reports.

The North African country will host the continent’s premier women’s club football competition for the second consecutive edition, having also staged the inaugural tournament in 2021.

Eight clubs from across Africa will compete for the title, with teams qualifying through their respective CAF zonal competitions.

Among the confirmed participants are South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns, two-time champions representing COSAFA; Uganda’s Kawempe Muslim Ladies, representing CECAFA; Cameroon’s Lekie FF, representing UNIFFAC; and Mali’s USFAS, representing WAFU Zone A.

Morocco will have two representatives at the tournament. Fath Union Sport (FUS) Rabat secured qualification through the UNAF qualifiers, while AS FAR Rabat will compete as the defending champions.

The remaining two places are yet to be confirmed. One will go to the representative from WAFU Zone B, while the other will be awarded to Egypt’s representative as the host nation.

The tournament will bring together the best women’s club sides from across the continent as they battle for Africa’s top women’s club football crown.
