Mourinho does not rely on him much

A press report on Thursday weighed up the future of England's Trent Alexander-Arnold at Real Madrid, given his current situation at the Spanish club.

Real Madrid signed Alexander-Arnold in the summer of 2025. He hasn't lived up to expectations, and current boss Jose Mourinho doesn't trust him as a starter.

According to the newspaper "AS", a number of former Liverpool players have called in recent hours for Alexander-Arnold to return to the club.

Local paper the "Liverpool Echo" put the question to fans: did they want Alexander-Arnold back? Nearly half of those who voted backed his return. Another 24% said they'd only agree if the fee was low. Just 29%, meanwhile, haven't forgiven him for leaving for Real Madrid and snubbing the club's efforts to keep him.
