In Week 9 of the 2026 NFL regular season, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes tied a league record set by former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.
With a pretty touchdown pass to Kenneth Walker III in Kansas City's AFC showdown against the New York Jets, Mahomes matched Manning's mark of 327 touchdowns in his first 10 seasons of NFL competition — a number that has stood alone atop the league's leaderboard in the category for more than a decade.
Take a look at the play that pulled Mahomes even with Manning in this video, which was posted to Twitter by the Chiefs' official account:
The pass that equalized Mahomes and Manning constituted the second touchdown connection between the two-time MVP and Super Bowl LX MVP in Week 9, and occurred relatively early in the contest — which should allow the former Texas Tech Red Raider to shatter Manning's record in the second half.
