Cote d’Ivoire face Niger in regional U17 final with African qualification secured

Cote d’Ivoire and Niger will contest the UFOA-B U17 final on Friday, 23 October 2026, with the regional title at stake after both teams secured qualification for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) U17.

The final will take place at 19:30 at the 4-Aout Stadium in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

The Elephanteaux are aiming to retain the trophy after winning the previous edition, while the Mena U17 are seeking to complete their campaign with a regional championship.

Both sides reached the final by winning their respective semi-finals, which also confirmed their places at the CAN U17 2027 finals. Their meeting in Ouagadougou will therefore determine the champion of the UFOA-B qualifying tournament, rather than qualification for the continental competition.

The teams are familiar with one another after drawing 1-1 in the group stage. Friday’s match gives Cote d’Ivoire and Niger another opportunity to settle the contest, this time with the trophy as the prize.
