CAF Champions League: Rangers Chief Vows Readiness For MC Alger Rematch

Rangers Chief Executive Officer Amobi Ezeaku is confident the Flying Antelopes will give their all as they seek to progress in the CAF Champions League at the expense of MC Alger.

The Nigerian champions secured a 2-0 victory over the Algerian side in the first leg of their second preliminary round tie, putting them in a strong position ahead of Friday’s return leg at the Stade Ali Ammar in Algiers.

Ezeaku has expressed confidence in Rangers’ ability to overcome the North Africans, insisting that the team will approach the decisive encounter with determination and an unyielding spirit.

In a motivational message shared on his official Facebook page, the Rangers chief described the team as battle-ready, declaring that they would not back down in the face of adversity.

“Forged for the fight, built for the storm, and unbreakable in spirit — whatever stands before Rangers, we march towards it, never back down, never surrender. NEVER SAY DIE!” Ezeaku wrote.

He also reflected on the commitment shown by the club over the past three years, describing Sunday’s encounter as a defining moment for their future.

“I made a promise when we came here — to give our all. For three years we’ve done that. And there’s one moment. This moment. It defines our future,” he added.

Ezeaku further assured the club’s supporters and well-wishers that Rangers would fight to secure a positive result, expressing unwavering belief in the team’s chances.

“Just one thing I want to say to our fans and those who believe — you’ll be happy and proud on the night. Nothing matters anymore. We win or we win!!!” he concluded.

Rangers will now look to protect their two-goal advantage in Algiers and secure qualification to the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
