UEFA has unveiled its official Team of the Week for Matchday 2 of the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League, selected by the UEFA Technical Observer Group and presented by Hyundai.

In a post obtained from UEFA’s X handle on Thursday, the all-star XI features a blend of established stars and unexpected standouts following a record-breaking round that produced 78 goals across 18 fixtures.

The Team of the Week is as follows:
Goalkeeper: Stas Pokatilov (Sabah)
Defenders: Maximiliano Araújo (Sporting CP), Falchener (Viking FK), Jeff Chabot (Stuttgart), Fredrik Sjøvold (Bodø/Glimt)
Midfielders: Manzambi (Aston Villa), Vitinha (Paris Saint-Germain)
Forwards: Bradley Barcola (Liverpool), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), Nicolò Tresoldi (Club Brugge), Lamine Yamal (Barcelona)
Liverpool forward Bradley Barcola leads the selections after a sensational hat-trick in the Reds’ 6-3 victory away at LASK.

The Frenchman was also voted Player of the Week for his clinical display.

Other notable inclusions include Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, and PSG midfielder Vitinha, who impressed in Paris’s 4-2 win at Manchester City.

Sabah goalkeeper Pokatilov earned his place after keeping a clean sheet in a historic victory for the Azerbaijani side.

The high-scoring Matchday 2 delivered several dramatic results, including Aston Villa’s 6-0 thrashing of Fenerbahçe, Real Madrid’s late 4-3 comeback at Roma, and Club Brugge’s 4-3 triumph at Inter Milan.

UEFA’s Team of the Week recognises the outstanding individual performances from each matchday of the league phase. The next edition will be announced following Matchday 3.
