Selected by supporters, the summer signing received the award at the AXA Melwood Training Centre after an impressive beginning to her time at the Reds.

“This means a lot,” she told Liverpoolfc.com.

“It’s special for me, this is my first year with Liverpool, a very big club, and I’m so proud. I want to thank the club, the fans and my teammates. I’m so happy to receive this award and this is for everybody.

“I feel like home here. I have felt like that since my first day because all of the fans love me and every game I feel their support, we can hear them and they are so special.

“I’m so grateful to all of the Liverpool fans and I feel so happy.”

Ramos appeared in all six of Gareth Taylor’s side’s games during the month, in the Barclays Women’s Super League and Subway Players Cup.

She was on the scoresheet twice in the latter competition – including an outstanding solo goal against Sunderland and a 93rd-minute winner in a 4-3 victory at Birmingham City.

The midfielder has since gained her first senior international cap for Spain, and produced a brilliant long-range strike at Aston Villa in the WSL on Sunday.

Ramos’ impact has been recognised with the rapid creation of her own supporter chant, too.

“That means so much for me and my family,” she said of the ‘Vamos, Ramos’ tune. “It’s so nice that they have created this special song for me.

“I try to do my best every day for the club and for them, just keep working and improving every day.”

September’s highlights for the Reds also included an Anfield victory over Everton in the WSL Merseyside derby.

That was a bucket-list item accomplished for Ramos on a personal level.

“Anfield means so much and that was a special win,” added the No.6. “It was a big dream in my life to play there and to win was so special in front of all of our fans. The fact we won was the most important thing.”
