The line-up for the 2026-2027 CAF Confederation Cup group stage is taking shape, with Al Ahly, USM Alger, Raja Casablanca and AS FAR among the best-known clubs involved.
The draw for the group stage will be held on 28 October, when the qualified teams will discover their opponents and the groups will be formed.
Al Ahly will represent Egypt, while Algeria has secured one place through USM Alger. A second Algerian club could join them, with CR Belouizdad still involved in a qualifying tie against AS Douanes or Hafia FC, depending on the outcome of that confrontation.
Morocco will have two teams in the competition, with Raja Casablanca and AS FAR both included in the line-up. Tunisia will be represented by CS Sfaxien, while Tanzania will have two clubs competing: Azam FC and Singida Black Stars.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo’s representative is AS Maniema Union. Libya will be represented by Al Ahli Tripoli, while Mozambique’s place goes to Black Bulls.
Real Bamako will carry Mali’s hopes in the tournament, with Togo represented by ASKO. South Africa will have Durban City, Zambia will be represented by Red Arrows and Angola’s participants will be Primeiro de Agosto.
The group-stage line-up is therefore made up of clubs from 14 countries, with Algeria’s final representation still dependent on the remaining qualifying tie.
