New York Jets rule out superstar WR for matchup vs. Kansas City Chiefs

NFL insider Adam Schefter revealed that the New York Jets will be without star wide receiver Garrett Wilson when they face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9.

Wilson — who started his professional career as the No. 10 pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft — has been in the league's concussion protocol and missed all of New York's practice sessions ahead of the Jets' tilt against the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

The 2022 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year started his tenure in New York with three 1,000-yard seasons as the Jets' top wideout, but saw his production dip when injuries derailed his 2025 campaign with the Jets.

With Wilson officially ruled out in Week 9, fans should expect to see New York utilize wideouts Tim Patrick, Omar Cooper Jr., Malik McClain, and Isaiah Williams more in its passing game when the Jets face the Chiefs on Sunday.
