UCL Table: Where PSG, Barcelona, Liverpool, Arsenal and Real Madrid Stand Before Tuesday's Games

According to a report by BBC Sport on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, Paris Saint-Germain lead the UEFA Champions League table ahead of the third round of league-phase matches, with Barcelona and Aston Villa occupying second and third positions respectively.

PSG have collected six points from their opening two matches, scoring 10 goals and conceding three to establish a goal difference of plus seven. Barcelona and Aston Villa also have six points, with both clubs recording a goal difference of plus seven.

Stuttgart sit fourth with six points and a goal difference of plus five, while Liverpool occupy fifth place with the same number of points and a goal difference of plus four.

Sporting CP and Arsenal are sixth and seventh respectively, each with six points and a goal difference of plus four. Real Madrid complete the top eight with six points and a goal difference of plus two.

Real Betis are ninth, also on six points, while Bayern Munich occupy 10th place with four points from their opening two fixtures.

Manchester United are 13th with three points, while Manchester City sit 17th after collecting three points from their first two matches.

Tuesday's fixtures could significantly affect the standings, particularly the meeting between PSG and Barcelona in Paris. Both teams have won their opening two matches, making their encounter an opportunity for one side to gain an advantage over a direct rival.

Liverpool, who occupy fifth place, will host Villarreal at Anfield, while Manchester City welcome AEK Athens. Stuttgart face Atletico Madrid, and Napoli take on Bodø/Glimt in other fixtures scheduled for Tuesday.

Wednesday's programme includes Bayern Munich against Arsenal and Real Madrid's home meeting with RB Leipzig. Aston Villa will host Viking FK, while Manchester United travel to Como.

Under the Champions League league-phase format, the top eight teams at the end of the competition's eight rounds qualify directly for the round of 16. Teams finishing between ninth and 24th enter the knockout-phase play-offs, while those placed 25th to 36th are eliminated.
