EPL: They're making impact, changing game - Thierry Henry singles out two Arsenal players

According to a report from Daily Post Nigeria, on Friday October 30, 2026, former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has praised Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke for the influence they have had when introduced from the bench.

His comments come as Arsenal prepare to face Liverpool in Sunday’s Premier League fixture. Speaking to Betway, Henry pointed to the pair’s recent goals as evidence of their ability to contribute.

Eze scored against Bayern Munich, while Madueke came on as a substitute and found the net against Nottingham Forest. Henry said both players have shown they can change the course of a match rather than simply fill a place in the squad.

“They are not passengers, and usually they come on and change the game,” he said.

Substitutes can play a crucial role, particularly in demanding matches when teams need fresh energy or a different attacking approach. Eze and Madueke give Arsenal additional options, and their recent contributions have demonstrated that they can make an impact even without starting.

Eze joined Arsenal from Crystal Palace, while Madueke arrived from Chelsea during last summer’s transfer window.

As the Gunners prepare for a difficult away fixture at Anfield, Henry’s praise highlights the value of having players capable of influencing a game from the bench. Whether either forward features against Liverpool, Arsenal will hope their attacking depth can help them meet the challenge.
