EPL Table After Manchester United Lost 3:0

Manchester United’s difficult start to the Premier League season continued on Sunday, October 25, 2026, after Bournemouth secured a convincing 3-0 victory at Old Trafford, according to BBC Sport.

The defeat has increased the pressure on manager Michael Carrick, whose team have struggled to produce consistent performances in recent weeks. United looked vulnerable defensively throughout the encounter, allowing Bournemouth to create dangerous opportunities and punish their mistakes.

Bournemouth delivered an impressive display, with Rayan, Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson all finding the net to secure a comfortable away victory. Their attacking movement caused repeated problems for the hosts, while United struggled to respond effectively.

The result also left many Manchester United supporters frustrated, with some fans reportedly leaving Old Trafford before the final whistle as their team’s disappointing performance unfolded.

United have now dropped to 16th place in the league table, having collected just seven points from their opening eight matches. Their record stands at one victory, four draws and three defeats, while their goal difference has fallen to -3 following Sunday’s three-goal loss.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, climbed to 13th position after recording their second league victory of the campaign, taking their points tally to nine.

At the summit, Manchester City lead the standings with 21 points from eight matches, while Arsenal occupy second place on the same points but trail on goal difference. Brighton remain third with 16 points, while Liverpool have climbed to fourth following their victory over Brighton.

Chelsea are fifth with 13 points after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. Newcastle United have also improved their position after beating Crystal Palace, while Aston Villa remain in the race to establish themselves in the top half.

United’s position is particularly concerning because they are just one point above Nottingham Forest, who currently occupy 18th place in the relegation zone.

Although there is still plenty of football to be played this season, Carrick will be under pressure to turn things around quickly and prevent his side from slipping further down the table.

Their next challenge will be a difficult Premier League trip to face Chelsea on Saturday, October 31. The Red Devils will need a much-improved performance if they are to secure the points required to revive their campaign.

With Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool setting the pace at the top, United must start producing positive results if they hope to recover from their disappointing opening to the season.
