According to a report by Daily Post on Friday November 6, 2026, Kano Pillars extended their unbeaten run in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) to four matches after playing out a 1-1 draw against Kun Khalifat FC on Friday.
The matchday 12 encounter took place at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, where both teams settled for a share of the points following a late equaliser by the hosts.
Kano Pillars looked set to secure all three points after substitute Sikiru Alimi gave them the lead in the 76th minute.
Alimi produced a powerful effort from outside the penalty area to put the visitors ahead and give them hope of recording another important victory in the league.
However, Kun Khalifat FC refused to give up and continued pushing for an equaliser as the match approached its conclusion.
Their persistence paid off in the 90th minute when Ebuka Okoro found the back of the net to restore parity and rescue a point for the home side.
The late goal denied Kano Pillars victory, but the result extended their unbeaten streak to four consecutive matches in the NPFL.
The Sai Masu Gida will take encouragement from their recent run of results as they continue their campaign in the Nigerian top flight.
Following Friday's draw, Kano Pillars climbed to second position on the league table with 19 points from 12 matches.
Kun Khalifat FC, meanwhile, moved to 15th position after earning a point from the encounter.
Although Kano Pillars will be disappointed that they could not hold on to their advantage, their continued unbeaten run keeps them firmly in the race near the top of the NPFL standings.
