According to a report by FootballTransfers on Sunday, November 1, 2026, the Catalan club are closely following developments surrounding the 19-year-old amid questions about his limited opportunities at Stamford Bridge under manager Xabi Alonso.
Estevao recently received an important opportunity when he made his first Premier League start of the season during Chelsea's 2-0 victory over Manchester United. The Brazilian delivered an impressive performance, demonstrating his attacking abilities and earning positive recognition from his manager.
The teenager had previously struggled to establish himself as a regular starter following Alonso's arrival at Chelsea. His limited involvement subsequently generated speculation that he could consider leaving the London club in 2027 in search of more consistent playing time.
However, Alonso has played down suggestions that the youngster could depart next year. The Chelsea manager also explained that his decision to include Estevao in the starting lineup against Manchester United was part of an existing plan rather than a sudden decision.
Alonso was particularly impressed with the Brazilian's contribution, praising his creativity, attacking threat and commitment to the team's overall performance. Although Estevao did not find the back of the net, he came close to scoring and demonstrated the qualities that have made Chelsea confident about his long-term potential.
Despite his encouraging display, Spanish publication SPORT reports that Barcelona remain interested in his situation. The Catalan side had previously been linked with the former Palmeiras attacker before he eventually completed his move to English football.
Nevertheless, securing his signature could create a tactical challenge for Barcelona manager Hansi Flick. Lamine Yamal currently occupies the right-wing position, which is also Estevao's preferred role. Although the Brazilian could operate on the opposite flank or in a central attacking position, competition for places would remain intense.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are reportedly determined to retain the teenager and have placed him among the players they consider untouchable. The club views him as an important part of its long-term sporting project and has little intention of approving his departure in 2027.
Estevao's impressive performance against Manchester United could strengthen his chances of receiving more regular opportunities. However, with Barcelona continuing to monitor his development, speculation surrounding his future could persist despite Chelsea's determination to keep him at Stamford Bridge.
