Champions League Table After Man United Lost 4-1, Arsenal Drew 2-2, and Real Madrid Won 4-1

According to a report by BBC Sport on Thursday, October 22, 2026, the UEFA Champions League delivered several exciting encounters, with Como defeating Manchester United 4-1, Arsenal drawing 2-2 with Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid recording a convincing 4-1 victory over RB Leipzig.

The results produced contrasting fortunes for the three clubs as they continued their campaigns in Europe’s premier club competition. Real Madrid secured all three points, Arsenal fought back to earn a draw in Munich, while Manchester United suffered a heavy defeat that increased the pressure on their squad.

Como 4-1 Manchester United

Manchester United endured a difficult evening at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, where Como capitalised on defensive weaknesses to secure an emphatic victory.

Nico Paz gave the Italian side an early breakthrough in the second minute, immediately putting United on the back foot. The hosts maintained their attacking intensity and extended their advantage shortly after the interval.

Anastasios Douvikas made it 2-0 in the 49th minute, converting after receiving an assist from Paz. The Argentine midfielder then scored his second goal of the match in the 57th minute, further strengthening Como’s control.

Jacobo Ramon added a fourth in the 76th minute with a header, leaving United facing an uphill battle. Joshua Zirkzee eventually pulled one back during stoppage time after being set up by Amad Diallo, but the consolation goal did little to change the outcome.

Paz was the standout performer, contributing two goals and an assist as Como recorded an impressive victory over the English side.

Bayern Munich 2-2 Arsenal

Arsenal secured a valuable point against Bayern Munich after an entertaining contest at the Allianz Arena.

Eberechi Eze opened the scoring in the 26th minute, finishing a move created by Martin Ødegaard to give Arsenal the advantage.

Bayern responded in the 35th minute through Alphonso Davies following an attacking move involving Harry Kane. The German champions subsequently took the lead in the 61st minute when Kane converted a penalty after Jurrien Timber handled the ball inside the area.

Despite falling behind, Arsenal continued searching for an equaliser and eventually found one in the 82nd minute. Declan Rice finished after receiving an assist from Viktor Gyökeres, ensuring Mikel Arteta’s side left Munich with a share of the points.

The result demonstrated Arsenal’s resilience against one of Europe’s leading teams, although both sides were left without a victory.

Real Madrid 4-1 RB Leipzig

Real Madrid enjoyed a more comfortable evening, defeating RB Leipzig 4-1 to secure maximum points.

Bernardo Silva opened the scoring before Arda Güler extended Madrid’s advantage early in the second half, giving the Spanish side greater control of the contest.

Kylian Mbappé added a third in the 83rd minute with an impressive long-range effort. Tidiam Gomis subsequently scored for Leipzig, but Yan Diomande restored Madrid’s three-goal advantage after converting an assist from Brahim Díaz.

Madrid’s attacking quality proved decisive as they secured a convincing win and strengthened their position in the competition.

The three matches produced very different outcomes. Real Madrid celebrated a comprehensive victory, Arsenal demonstrated their ability to recover against Bayern Munich, and Manchester United were left to reflect on a disappointing European performance.

With further league-phase fixtures ahead, all three clubs will be looking to build on their respective results as they pursue qualification for the Champions League knockout stages.
