Primate Ayodele: A Glorious Day Is Coming To Nigeria Football, Nigeria Can Receive A Very Good Medal

The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has predicted a glorious future for Nigerian football, expressing optimism that the country will win a major medal in the sport.

Ayodele made the prediction in a recent video posted on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, while speaking about the future of Nigeria's football and the country's prospects in international competitions.

According to the cleric, Nigeria is approaching a glorious period in football, during which the country could achieve significant success and receive a major medal.

He expressed confidence that the country's football fortunes would improve, suggesting that Nigerian football could soon have reasons to celebrate on the international stage.

Speaking in the video, Ayodele said, “A glorious day is coming to Nigeria football, Nigeria can receive a very good Medal in football.”

The prediction comes amid continued expectations from Nigerian football supporters for the country's national teams to return to winning ways and establish themselves among the leading football nations in the world.

Nigeria has a rich football history, having produced several outstanding players and achieved remarkable success in international competitions over the years.

The Super Eagles, the country's senior men's national team, have won the Africa Cup of Nations three times, lifting the trophy in 1980, 1994 and 2013.

The team has also represented Africa at several FIFA World Cup tournaments, while Nigeria's youth teams have enjoyed considerable success in international football.

The country's women's national team, the Super Falcons, have equally maintained an impressive record, winning multiple Women's Africa Cup of Nations titles and establishing themselves as one of the continent's strongest sides.

Nigeria has also recorded memorable achievements at the Olympic Games, particularly in football. The men's Olympic team won the gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics before securing silver in 2008 and bronze in 2016.

These achievements have continued to inspire expectations among Nigerian football fans, who hope to see the country win more international honours.

Ayodele, however, did not specify the particular competition, national team or tournament through which Nigeria would achieve the predicted success.

He also did not state when the anticipated achievement would happen, leaving the exact timing of the prediction unclear.

Nevertheless, his latest remarks have offered an optimistic outlook for Nigerian football, with the cleric predicting that a significant achievement and a glorious period could be ahead for the country.
