According to a report by Daily Post on Friday October 23, 2026, Barcelona legend Gerard Piqué has predicted that his former club will beat Real Madrid 4-1 when both sides meet in Sunday's El Clásico at Camp Nou.
The former Spain international expressed confidence in Barcelona ahead of the highly anticipated LaLiga encounter, recalling the club's famous 5-0 victory over Real Madrid during José Mourinho's time as manager.
Speaking in a video posted on TikTok, Piqué explained why he expects Barcelona to secure a convincing win against their fierce rivals.
“The first time Mourinho went to the Camp Nou, he lost 5-0. I predict 4-1,” Piqué said.
The former defender, who also played for Manchester United, made the prediction despite Barcelona's disappointing 4-2 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Barcelona will be hoping to put that result behind them when they welcome Real Madrid for one of the biggest fixtures in European football.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid head into the encounter after recording an impressive 4-1 victory over RB Leipzig at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The contrasting Champions League results have added another talking point ahead of Sunday's showdown, with both teams looking to make a statement in the Spanish title race.
Piqué's prediction also brings back memories of Barcelona's memorable 5-0 triumph over Mourinho's Real Madrid on November 29, 2010, during Pep Guardiola's time in charge at Camp Nou.
That result remains one of the most famous victories in El Clásico history, and Piqué has now backed the Catalan giants to produce another emphatic performance against their rivals.
