Hansi Flick Annoyed with Barcelona Leaders After Chaotic Seville Trip – report

According to a report by Barca Universal on Tuesday October 27, 2026, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is reportedly unhappy with the club's senior figures following a chaotic trip to Seville that disrupted the team's recovery schedule and may have contributed to their recent struggles.

According to journalist Sique Rodríguez, the squad was forced to spend the night in Seville because of adverse weather, leaving Flick concerned about the impact of the disruption during a demanding period.

Barcelona's difficulties became more noticeable following their 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid, which ended their unbeaten start to the La Liga season. The Catalan side had previously suffered a 4-2 Champions League loss to Paris Saint-Germain, raising concerns about their physical condition and ability to maintain consistent performances.

According to Rodríguez, Barcelona's players wanted to return home immediately after facing Real Betis. However, their departure was delayed, leaving the squad waiting on the plane for approximately four hours before weather conditions forced them to stay overnight.

The team eventually returned to Barcelona the following day, disrupting their planned recovery schedule ahead of important fixtures.

Flick addressed the situation after the El Clasico defeat but refused to use the travel problems as an excuse for the result. The German coach explained that his players had spent several hours on the plane before being forced to remain in Seville overnight.

Reports also suggest that Flick was frustrated with the club's senior figures over how the situation was handled. However, the exact reasons behind his reported dissatisfaction remain unclear.

Barcelona's demanding schedule has intensified concerns about fatigue within the squad. The team had limited recovery time before travelling to Paris for their Champions League encounter against PSG, where defensive weaknesses contributed to their defeat.

Their subsequent loss to Real Madrid exposed further difficulties in maintaining their usual intensity throughout matches.

An expanding injury list has also complicated Flick's efforts to manage player workloads and maintain competitiveness across domestic and European competitions.

Although the Seville travel disruption cannot fully explain Barcelona's recent defeats, insufficient recovery time could have affected their performances. Flick must now find solutions as his team attempts to regain consistency during a challenging run of fixtures.
