Harry Kane has reportedly agreed to a new three-year contract with Bayern Munich, a deal that could make the England captain the highest-paid footballer in Europe, ahead of Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland and Lamine Yamal.
According to a report by FootballTransfers on Thursday, November 5, 2026, the 33-year-old striker has signed fresh terms with the Bundesliga champions until June 2029, with the agreement described as the most lucrative contract in the club’s history.
Kane joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 for €95 million and has established himself as one of Europe’s most prolific forwards, recording 156 goals in 161 appearances for the German giants.
His impressive performances have attracted interest from Barcelona and Manchester United in recent months. However, the striker has repeatedly indicated his desire to continue his career in Munich.
With his previous contract approaching its expiry next summer, Bayern moved to secure his future by offering him an improved deal.
Kane has also recently won the Ballon d’Or, further strengthening his status among the leading players in world football.
Speaking after agreeing to the new contract, the England international expressed his happiness at remaining with the Bundesliga champions.
“I feel right at home at FC Bayern. I love the club, the fans and the city of Munich. We have a fantastic team and, in Vincent Kompany, a fantastic manager. It makes me very proud to be part of this club.
“My whole family is very happy here. I was keen to stay. I’m now looking forward to the future and I want to win many more titles with this great club,” Kane said.
Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund also praised the striker’s influence, describing him as a team player, an important leader and one of the finest all-round forwards in football.
Transfer expert David Ornstein reportedly described the agreement as the most valuable contract Bayern have ever handed to a player.
Although the club has not officially disclosed Kane’s new salary, reports suggest his annual earnings will exceed €31 million.
Such a figure would place him ahead of Real Madrid’s Mbappé and Manchester City’s Haaland, who are both reportedly earning approximately €31 million annually in basic wages.
Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal is believed to earn around €20 million annually, although performance-related bonuses could increase his overall earnings to approximately €40 million.
Other prominent players among Europe’s highest earners include Vinicius Junior, Virgil van Dijk and Jude Bellingham.
Kane’s reported new agreement represents a significant commitment from Bayern as the club looks to retain one of its most influential players and continue competing for major honours under Vincent Kompany.
