According to a report from FootballTransfers, on Monday November 02, 2026, Barcelona are reportedly keeping tabs on Estevao Willian, but a move for the Chelsea forward next year appears unlikely.
The 19-year-old made his first Premier League start of the season in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Manchester United. His limited playing time since Xabi Alonso’s appointment had fuelled speculation about his future, yet Estevao impressed at Stamford Bridge and earned praise from his manager.
Alonso said the decision to start the Brazilian had been planned earlier in the week. He added that Estevao responded well, created several dangerous chances and showed he was ready for the opportunity. The winger also came close to scoring before being substituted late in the match.
Despite the recent rumours, Spanish outlet SPORT reports that Barcelona are monitoring the player’s situation. The Catalan club were linked with Estevao while he was at Palmeiras, but signing him in 2027 would raise questions about how he would fit into the squad.
He plays in the same position as Lamine Yamal, while opportunities on the left wing or in a central role are also highly competitive.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are reportedly determined to keep Estevao and regard him as one of the players they do not intend to sell. After his strong performance against United, the club are expected to continue developing him rather than consider a departure.
