EPL: 'They'll win 2-1' - Carragher, Ian Wright predict score of Liverpool vs Arsenal

According to a report by Daily Post on Friday October 30, 2026, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher and former Arsenal striker Ian Wright have given their predictions ahead of Sunday's Premier League encounter between the two clubs at Anfield.

Liverpool will welcome Arsenal in what promises to be an exciting contest, with both sides looking to secure an important victory.

The two teams head into the match following contrasting results in the Carabao Cup. Liverpool booked their place in the next round after eliminating Chelsea, while Arsenal suffered a surprise exit at the hands of Fleetwood Town.

Speaking on The Overlap, Carragher backed his former club to claim all three points, predicting a 2-1 victory for Liverpool.

"I will go 2-1, Liverpool," the former England defender said.

However, Wright disagreed with Carragher's prediction, tipping Arsenal to secure a 2-1 win away from home.

"I think we beat them. This is the game that kind of defines Liverpool if they are coming back. I really think we beat them. 2-1 Arsenal," the former Gunners forward said.

Wright believes Sunday's encounter could be an important test of Liverpool's ability to return to winning ways and demonstrate their progress.

While Carragher expects Liverpool to use their home advantage at Anfield, Wright is confident that Arsenal have enough quality to overcome the Reds.

Both former players have therefore predicted a 2-1 victory, but they disagree over which team will emerge victorious.
