Bournemouth forward Rayan has paid tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo by recreating the Portuguese superstar’s famous “SIUUUU” celebration after scoring in his side’s 3-1 Europa League victory over Sparta Prague.
According to a post shared by ESPN FC on its official Facebook account on Thursday, November 5, 2026, the 20-year-old Brazilian celebrated his 90th-minute goal by performing Ronaldo’s trademark routine, which involves jumping, turning in the air and landing with his arms stretched out.
Rayan’s late strike completed Bournemouth’s victory at the epet ARENA, but his celebration attracted particular attention because it was dedicated to Ronaldo following reports of the Portuguese forward’s retirement from international football.
ESPN FC shared photographs of the moment alongside a caption explaining that the Brazilian had performed the celebration in honour of Ronaldo.
The tribute followed reports that the 41-year-old had brought his 23-year international career with Portugal to an end. Ronaldo leaves the national team with a record 146 goals in 234 appearances, making him the highest-scoring male international footballer.
Rayan also made his admiration for the former Real Madrid and Manchester United forward clear after the match, sharing a message on Instagram that read: “Cristiano, my idol forever ❤️”.
The young Brazilian’s gesture highlighted Ronaldo’s influence on the next generation of footballers, with his iconic celebration remaining one of the most recognisable traditions in the sport.
