Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr is reportedly undergoing two training sessions daily as he works to regain his best form and convince manager Jose Mourinho that he deserves a regular place in the club’s starting lineup.
According to a report by Madrid Universal on Friday, October 30, 2026, the Brazilian international has intensified his preparation in an effort to recover the confidence and consistency that previously made him one of Real Madrid’s most influential attacking players.
The 26-year-old is also said to be following a scientific training programme designed to improve his physical condition and help him return to his previous performance level.
Real Madrid have enjoyed positive results and improved attacking performances in their last three matches. However, their progress during Vinicius’ absence has raised questions about his current importance to the team's attacking structure.
The situation has also increased competition for attacking positions, with other players attracting attention through their recent performances.
Despite the pressure, Vinicius is reportedly determined to fight for his place. His decision to undertake additional training sessions reflects his desire to regain the trust of the coaching staff and become a regular starter again.
The Brazilian has an opportunity to make an impression in the Champions League while serving a four-match suspension in La Liga, with two domestic matches still remaining before he becomes eligible to return.
He featured in Real Madrid’s previous Champions League meeting with RB Leipzig but struggled to make a significant impact. Meanwhile, Yan Diomande impressed after coming on as a substitute, despite playing for only ten minutes.
The upcoming Champions League fixture against AEK Athens could therefore provide an important opportunity for Vinicius to demonstrate his quality.
With Diomande continuing to impress Mourinho, the Brazilian winger will be under pressure to deliver a convincing performance and strengthen his chances of reclaiming his position in Real Madrid’s starting eleven.
