The UEFA Women’s Champions League table has undergone significant changes following an entertaining round of fixtures, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Lyon strengthening their positions in the competition.
According to a report by BBC Sport on Thursday, October 29, 2026, several European heavyweights were in action, producing important results that have reshaped the league-phase standings.
Chelsea Women continued their impressive campaign with a 2-0 victory over AS Roma Women. Goals from Ellie Carpenter and Kadeisha Buchanan secured maximum points for the English club after a convincing performance.
The result took Chelsea to seven points from their opening three matches, having recorded two victories and one draw. They currently occupy third position, with three goals scored and none conceded.
Arsenal Women also enjoyed an excellent outing, defeating Benfica Women 3-0 to move into second place.
Alessia Russo delivered a remarkable individual performance, scoring all three goals to complete her hat-trick and secure an important victory for the Gunners.
The North London side now have seven points from three matches, with six goals scored and two conceded, giving them a goal difference of +4.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid Women missed the opportunity to claim their first victory after surrendering a two-goal advantage in a 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich Women.
Athenea and Lineth Beerensteyn put the Spanish side in a commanding position, but Bayern fought back through Edna Imade and Momoko Tanikawa to rescue a point.
Real Madrid have now drawn all three of their opening matches and sit tenth with three points. Bayern Munich, on the other hand, occupy fifth position with five points.
Elsewhere, Olympique Lyonnais Women produced one of the most impressive performances of the round, thrashing Inter Milan Women 6-0.
The emphatic victory moved Lyon to the top of the standings with seven points and a goal difference of +14, making them one of the strongest contenders at this stage of the competition.
Servette Women also recorded a convincing result, defeating OH Leuven Women 5-1 in another fixture.
Current Women’s Champions League standings
The results have strengthened the positions of several clubs, although the table remains provisional because teams have played different numbers of matches.
Barcelona, Manchester City and Juventus are among the clubs that have completed only two games, while Chelsea, Arsenal and Lyon have already played three.
Under the new league-phase format, the top four teams will qualify automatically for the quarter-finals. Clubs finishing between fifth and twelfth will compete in the knockout play-offs, while teams occupying positions 13 to 18 will be eliminated.
Arsenal and Chelsea will now be looking to maintain their momentum as the competition progresses, while Real Madrid must improve their performances to avoid falling further behind the leading teams.
With additional fixtures scheduled for Thursday, October 29, the standings could undergo further changes before the conclusion of the third matchday.
