2026 Ballon D'Or Best Young Players Top Ten Revealed

According to a report by The Guardian on Monday, October 26, 2026, the 2026 Ballon d'Or Best Young Talent Award has attracted considerable attention following the revelation of the top ten players, with Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal emerging as the winner ahead of several outstanding young footballers across Europe.

The prestigious award, also known as the Kopa Trophy, recognises exceptional performances from footballers under the age of 21. This year's competition featured talented youngsters representing some of Europe's biggest clubs, including Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Yamal secured the prestigious honour for the third consecutive year, having previously won the award in 2024 and 2025. His latest triumph makes him the first footballer to win the prize three times.

The reported final top ten rankings for the 2026 Best Young Talent Award are as follows:

Lamine Yamal of Spain claimed first position after another remarkable campaign with Barcelona. His outstanding creativity, goalscoring ability and impressive performances in major competitions helped him secure the award.

Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsí finished second, highlighting his remarkable development into one of Europe's most promising young centre-backs. His composure, defensive awareness and passing ability have earned him widespread recognition.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery occupied third position following his impressive contributions to the French champions.

Bayern Munich youngster Lennart Karl secured fourth place after establishing himself as one of Germany's most exciting emerging attacking talents.

Ivory Coast international Yan Diomandé finished fifth, while Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi occupied sixth position following his impressive performances.

Bosnia and Herzegovina youngster Kerim Alajbegović claimed seventh place, ahead of French forward Éli Junior Kroupi, who finished eighth.

Algerian midfielder Ibrahim Maza secured ninth position, while Switzerland international Johan Manzambi completed the top ten in tenth place.

The recognition of these players reflects the remarkable quality of young footballers currently emerging across European football.

However, Yamal's achievement remains the biggest talking point, particularly considering his remarkable consistency at such a young age.

The Spanish international enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 campaign, recording 25 goals and 20 assists in 57 appearances. His contributions helped Barcelona secure major domestic honours, while he also played an important role in Spain's successful 2026 World Cup campaign.

His latest individual achievement further strengthens his reputation as one of the most exciting players in world football.

Meanwhile, Cubarsí's second-place finish underlines Barcelona's impressive ability to develop exceptional young talents capable of competing at the highest level.

With Yamal claiming another prestigious individual honour, attention will now turn towards whether the Barcelona superstar can maintain his extraordinary development and eventually establish himself among the greatest footballers in history.
