According to a report by Daily Mail on Friday, October 16, 2026, Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana suffered another disappointing moment after conceding directly from a corner during Trabzonspor's 4-2 victory over Finnish side KuPS in the UEFA Conference League.

The Cameroonian goalkeeper, who is currently spending the season on loan at the Turkish club, failed to stop Petteri Pennanen's corner from going straight into the net, despite Trabzonspor having built a comfortable three-goal advantage.

Trabzonspor made an impressive start to the encounter, with former Southampton striker Paul Onuachu opening the scoring in the third minute. Mohamed Salah extended their lead with an excellent finish shortly before half-time, while Franculino Dju added a third goal shortly after the restart.

However, Onana's costly error allowed KuPS to regain some hope of getting back into the contest. The goalkeeper later conceded another goal as the Finnish side attempted to reduce the deficit, but Trabzonspor eventually secured a 4-2 victory.

The mistake quickly attracted attention on social media, with several Manchester United supporters criticising the goalkeeper and expressing doubts about the prospect of his return to Old Trafford.

Onana joined Manchester United from Inter Milan in 2023 but struggled to maintain consistent performances during his time in England. A series of costly errors raised concerns about his reliability, and he eventually lost his place before moving to Trabzonspor on loan in an attempt to rebuild his career.

The 30-year-old is now hoping to regain his confidence and establish himself as a reliable goalkeeper in Turkey. However, his latest mistake is likely to intensify the criticism surrounding his performances as he attempts to prove that he can still compete at the highest level.

Despite Onana's error, Trabzonspor managed to secure all three points, while Salah continued his promising start at the club with another important contribution to the victory.
