Brazilian forward Endrick has revealed that he was praying and communicating with God while sitting on the bench when he was unexpectedly instructed to enter the match.

According to a post shared by football journalist Fabrizio Romano on X, the young striker explained that he did not anticipate being brought into the game so early.

Endrick said he was focused on prayer while waiting for his chance to play when he suddenly received the instruction to step onto the pitch.

“I was on the bench talking to God and praying. Suddenly, they told me I was coming on. I had no idea I’d come on that early,” he said.

Despite being caught off guard by the timing of his introduction, the Brazilian expressed happiness at the opportunity to help his team. He emphasised that he was always prepared to play whenever the coach needed him, regardless of how long he had remained on the bench.

“I am very happy to help. Whenever the coach wants to use me, I am ready,” Endrick added.

His remarks highlighted the importance of faith in his personal life and demonstrated his readiness to seize opportunities whenever they arise.

The forward also made it clear that he had no problem with being introduced unexpectedly. Rather than focusing on the timing of his substitution, he was pleased to have the chance to contribute to his team's performance.

Endrick's comments reflected his willingness to follow the coach's instructions and make himself available whenever needed. Whether starting a match or coming on as a substitute, the young Brazilian remains focused on helping his team whenever he gets the opportunity.
