Lamine Yamal, Who Just Turned 19, Ranks Sixth Among Highest-Paid Footballers in the World

According to a report by The Sun Nigeria on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal has been ranked the sixth-highest-paid footballer in the world, with estimated earnings of $55 million in 2026.

The 19-year-old’s income reportedly comes from his Barcelona salary and endorsement deals. Forbes estimates that he will earn $35 million from football-related income and another $20 million from commercial partnerships.

Yamal’s ranking highlights his rapid rise since breaking into Barcelona’s first team. Despite his age, the Spain international has become one of the club’s most influential players and one of football’s most valuable young stars.

The 10 highest-paid footballers are expected to earn a combined $942 million this year. Cristiano Ronaldo leads the list with an estimated $300 million, followed by Lionel Messi with $145 million.

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé occupies third place with $100 million, while Manchester City striker Erling Haaland ranks fourth with $85 million. Vinícius Júnior, also of Real Madrid, completes the top five with $76 million.

Yamal follows in sixth place with $55 million, ahead of former Senegal international Sadio Mané, who earns $54 million with Al-Nassr.

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham ranks eighth with $45 million, while Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane occupies ninth place with $42 million. Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah completes the top 10 with estimated earnings of $40 million.

Ronaldo and Messi account for nearly half of the total earnings recorded by the 10 players.

Their figures reflect a combination of salaries, bonuses and commercial income before taxes and agents’ fees.

Yamal’s position is particularly notable because he is younger than every other player on the list.

With his career still at an early stage, the Barcelona star could climb higher in future rankings as his profile and endorsement portfolio continue to grow.
