According to a report by FootballTransfers on Thursday, 29 October 2026, following a strong start to the 2026/27 season, Arsenal and Chelsea are keeping tabs on 20-year-old striker Paris Brunner from Monaco.
Several European teams, including those in the Premier League, are keeping tabs on Brunner after he emerged as a promising young forward in Ligue 1.
The German striker has been drawing interest from a number of clubs ahead of a possible transfer in 2027, including Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain. His recent form has added fuel to the fire.
Despite being considered one of Germany's brightest young talents, Brunner took some time to develop in France before finally showing signs of his potential this season. He joined Monaco from Borussia Dortmund in 2024 for approximately €4 million.
The forward has become a key attacking option for Monaco after scoring eight goals in ten appearances across competitions.
Folarin Balogun, who has had trouble regaining his starting spot after returning from a knee injury he suffered while playing for the United States at the World Cup, has also seen his position in the team impacted by his progress.
When compared to other young attackers in Europe's five main leagues, Brunner comes out on top.
There is only one player under the age of 20 who has scored more goals in the Premier League than the German, and that is Lamine Yamal of Barcelona.
With four goals in six league appearances, Brunner is in the same position as other rising stars like Alphadjo Cisse, but Yamal is in first place with eight goals.
Brunner has shown versatility in front of goal, using both his finishing ability and his ability to create scoring opportunities through individual skill. He combines intelligent movement inside the penalty area with this.
While clubs may be interested in hiring him, his disciplinary history may be a deterrent.
The youth player will not be involved in any BVB activities until further notice, as Borussia Dortmund announced when they suspended Brunner for behavioral reasons: "Borussia Dortmund have suspended Paris Brunner."
Brunner thinks he has improved his game and is ready to face those challenges head-on. "I've worked a lot on myself. Last year I didn't play much, so I had plenty of time to develop mentally and improve individually on the pitch," he says.
"I strive to tap into that daily and let it fuel my drive to give my all. My teammates are incredibly supportive! Guys like Denis Zakaria and Eric Dier offer me daily advice during training."
