Final EPL Table After Arsenal Won 1-0, Manchester United Drew 1-1 And Chelsea Won 2-0

According to a report by The Guardian on Sunday, October 18, 2026, the English Premier League table has witnessed important changes following Arsenal's 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, Manchester United's 1-1 draw with Leeds United and Chelsea's 2-0 win against Everton.

The latest results have added more excitement to the competition, with Manchester City maintaining their lead at the top of the standings. Arsenal remain their closest challengers, while Chelsea have strengthened their position among the teams competing for European qualification.

Arsenal secured a crucial three points against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground after a difficult encounter. Both teams struggled to find the back of the net during the first half, as Forest defended resolutely against Mikel Arteta's side.

The Gunners eventually found the breakthrough in the 80th minute when Noni Madueke's effort took a deflection and went into the net. The late goal proved decisive, allowing Arsenal to leave Nottingham with all three points.

The victory took Arsenal's tally to 18 points from seven matches, keeping them three points behind league leaders Manchester City.

Manchester United, meanwhile, missed the opportunity to claim an important away victory after being held to a 1-1 draw by Leeds United at Elland Road.

Bryan Mbeumo put Michael Carrick's team ahead in the first half, giving the visitors hope of securing maximum points. However, Leeds responded after the break, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin finding the equaliser to ensure the contest ended in a draw.

The result represented another setback for Manchester United, who have collected only seven points from their opening seven league matches. Their position in the lower half of the table highlights the need for significant improvement in their performances.

Chelsea enjoyed a much better outcome after defeating Everton 2-0 at Goodison Park on Saturday. Pedro Neto delivered an impressive performance, scoring both goals to secure victory for the Blues.

The win increased Chelsea's points total to 13 from seven matches, keeping them firmly involved in the contest for Champions League qualification.

Manchester City continue to lead the Premier League table with 21 points after winning all seven of their opening matches. Arsenal occupy second place with 18 points, having recorded six victories and one defeat.

Brighton and Hove Albion are third with 16 points after producing an emphatic 5-0 victory over Crystal Palace. Chelsea sit fourth with 13 points, while Liverpool occupy fifth position with 12 points following their 2-1 comeback win against Brentford.

Brentford are sixth with 10 points, level on points with Leeds United in seventh place. Everton also have 10 points and occupy eighth position despite their defeat to Chelsea.

Hull City and Ipswich Town complete the top ten with nine points apiece. Newcastle United and Aston Villa follow in 11th and 12th positions respectively, with both sides having collected eight points.

Manchester United are 13th with seven points, while Crystal Palace have the same number of points following their heavy loss to Brighton.

Elsewhere, Bournemouth improved their position after recording a 2-0 victory over Sunderland. Nottingham Forest, however, suffered a narrow defeat against Arsenal, leaving them with more work to do in their bid to move away from the lower end of the table.

Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur are also among the sides facing difficulties as the competition continues.

The latest results underline the different challenges facing clubs across the Premier League. Manchester City remain in control of the title race, while Arsenal are determined to maintain their pursuit of the leaders. Chelsea are also making progress as they seek a stronger finish in the upper part of the standings.

For Manchester United, the draw against Leeds represents another disappointing outcome, increasing the pressure on Carrick's team to deliver better results in their upcoming matches.

With the season progressing, the fight for the championship, European places and Premier League survival is expected to become increasingly intense.
