UCL Table After Yesterday's Results As PSG, Liverpool And Manchester City Secured Important Victorie

According to a report by Sky Sports on Wednesday October 21, 2026, the UEFA Champions League standings have undergone significant changes following Tuesday night's exciting matches, with Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool and Manchester City recording important victories in the third round of the league phase.

Paris Saint-Germain strengthened their position at the top of the standings after defeating Barcelona 4-2 in an entertaining encounter. The French champions have now collected nine points from three matches, maintaining their perfect record in the competition.

Liverpool also continued their impressive European campaign with a dramatic 4-3 victory over Villarreal at Anfield. The result moved the English club to nine points after three consecutive victories, although they remain second behind PSG because of their inferior goal difference.

Manchester City produced another impressive performance, defeating AEK Athens 5-1 at the Etihad Stadium. The victory helped City recover from their previous defeat against PSG and lifted them into sixth position with six points from three matches.

Meanwhile, Barcelona suffered their first Champions League defeat of the campaign following their 4-2 loss against PSG. Despite the disappointing result, the Spanish giants remain fifth with six points from three matches.

Stuttgart occupy third position with seven points after playing out a 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid. Aston Villa are fourth with six points from two matches, while Sporting Lisbon and Arsenal complete the current top eight with six points each.

Real Madrid sit ninth with six points, followed by Real Betis in tenth position with the same number of points. Borussia Dortmund are eleventh with six points following their 2-1 victory over Sabah.

Bayern Munich occupy twelfth position with four points, while Roma climbed to thirteenth after defeating Slovan Bratislava 4-0.

Manchester United currently occupy eighteenth position with three points from two matches. The English giants will have an opportunity to improve their standing when they face Como on Wednesday.

Further down the standings, Napoli are twenty-second with three points following their narrow 4-3 victory over Bodø/Glimt.

At the bottom, Inter Milan, Porto, Lille, Galatasaray and Slovan Bratislava remain without a point, although some of these clubs have played fewer matches than others.

The latest standings show PSG leading with nine points and a goal difference of +9, while Liverpool follow with nine points and a goal difference of +5. Stuttgart are third with seven points, ahead of Aston Villa, Barcelona, Manchester City, Sporting Lisbon and Arsenal.

The Champions League's league-phase format allows the top eight teams to qualify automatically for the round of 16, while clubs finishing between ninth and twenty-fourth will compete in the knockout playoffs.

Teams finishing between twenty-fifth and thirty-sixth will be eliminated from the competition.

With the remaining Matchday Three fixtures scheduled for Wednesday, the standings could experience further changes as Real Madrid, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and other European clubs return to action.
