According to a report by Daily Post on Friday, October 23, 2026, Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare has indicated that he would like to continue his career at Ajax beyond his current loan spell after making a positive impression since arriving at the Dutch club.
The 24-year-old moved to Ajax from Wolverhampton Wanderers during the summer transfer window and has quickly become a valuable option in the team’s forward line.
Arokodare strengthened his reputation with another impressive display on Thursday night, scoring a goal and setting up another as Ajax secured a 2-0 win over Atalanta in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
The Nigerian international has reportedly contributed eight goals and three assists in 13 appearances across all competitions this season, underlining his growing importance to the Amsterdam side.
Speaking after the European victory, Arokodare revealed that he would be pleased to remain at Ajax on a permanent basis. He spoke positively about his time at the club, praising his teammates and the supporters for helping him settle into life in the Netherlands.
However, the striker acknowledged that any decision regarding his long-term future would require an agreement between Ajax and Wolves. The two clubs would need to negotiate suitable terms before a permanent transfer could be finalised.
His recent performances could encourage Ajax to explore the possibility of keeping him beyond the current campaign, particularly if he maintains his impressive scoring form.
Wolves, meanwhile, will have to consider their options as discussions over the player’s future potentially develop. The Premier League club could welcome him back after his loan spell or agree to a permanent transfer if the right offer is made.
At present, no permanent move has been confirmed, leaving Arokodare’s future dependent on negotiations between the two clubs.
For now, the Nigerian forward appears comfortable in Amsterdam, and his latest comments suggest he is open to turning his loan spell into a permanent stay if Ajax and Wolves can reach an agreement.
