Arsenal Player Ratings vs Nottingham: Madueke and Gabriel Shine as Eze Struggles at City Ground

According to a report by the Evening Standard on Sunday, October 18, 2026, Noni Madueke earned one of Arsenal’s highest ratings after scoring the winning goal in their 1-0 Premier League victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, while Eberechi Eze endured a disappointing outing.

The Gunners struggled to break down their hosts for much of the encounter, with neither side creating enough clear opportunities to take control. Arsenal eventually found the breakthrough in the 80th minute when Madueke cut inside and struck a shot that deflected past Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels.

Goalkeeper David Raya received a rating of 7/10 for his assured handling of Forest’s crosses and corners. He also produced accurate long passes to initiate attacks, recording his fourth clean sheet in seven league appearances.

Defenders Gabriel and Ezri Konsa were among Arsenal’s best performers, both earning 8/10. Gabriel made six clearances and defended strongly when isolated against Forest’s attackers, while Konsa recovered from a knock to make important interventions, including a late block that helped preserve the victory.

Ben White and Riccardo Calafiori both received 5/10. White was solid defensively but struggled with his attacking delivery, while Calafiori had limited influence going forward and misplaced a pass that allowed Forest to threaten on the counterattack.

Declan Rice earned 7/10 after creating an early opportunity with a cross for Kai Havertz. However, the midfielder missed a promising chance in the second half before producing a crucial late block to deny Chris Wood.

Bukayo Saka also received 5/10 after struggling to trouble Forest’s defence from open play. Martin Odegaard was rated 6/10, with his tendency to drop deep contributing to Arsenal’s slow build-up.

Eze was Arsenal’s lowest-rated player, receiving just 3/10. The midfielder struggled with his ball control and intensity, failed to register a shot or create a chance, and was substituted at half-time.

Havertz received 4/10 after heading wide from a first-half set-piece opportunity and failing to make a significant impact in attack.

Madueke earned 8/10 for changing the contest after replacing Eze at the interval. His direct running and decisive finish proved the difference between the teams.

Jurrien Timber received 7/10 after adding attacking impetus following his introduction, while Mikel Merino and Viktor Gyokeres both earned 6/10 for their second-half contributions.
