The UEFA Champions League table shifted again after Wednesday’s Matchday Four fixtures. Arsenal, Manchester United and Real Madrid secured valuable wins, while Liverpool were beaten.
BBC Sport reported on Thursday, November 5, 2026, that Arsenal strengthened their bid for a place in the round of 16 with a 2–1 away victory over Slavia Prague. Manchester United edged Roma 3–2, and Real Madrid also won 3–2, defeating AEK Athens.
Liverpool’s evening ended in disappointment as they lost 3–2 to Fenerbahce, bringing their positive run in the competition to an end.
Paris Saint-Germain lead the standings with 12 points, level with second-placed Real Madrid. Arsenal are third on 10 points, and Como sit fourth with nine. Barcelona are fifth, followed by Aston Villa in sixth and Manchester City in seventh. Liverpool round out the top eight.
Sporting CP are ninth, ahead of Club Brugge, Real Betis and Borussia Dortmund. Bayern Munich sit thirteenth, Stuttgart fourteenth, Inter Milan fifteenth and LASK Linz sixteenth.
Manchester United have risen to seventeenth with six points after beating Roma. Galatasaray are eighteenth, Fenerbahce nineteenth following their win over Liverpool, and Roma twentieth.
Shakhtar Donetsk, Viking, Atletico Madrid and PSV Eindhoven come next, followed by Bodo/Glimt, Porto, Napoli and Villarreal. AEK Athens, RB Leipzig, Sabah, Feyenoord, Lens, Slavia Prague, Lille and Slovan Bratislava occupy the remaining places.
Under the league-phase format, the top eight teams advance directly to the round of 16. Teams placed ninth to twenty-fourth must compete in knockout play-offs.
The latest results have improved Arsenal and Real Madrid’s positions, while Manchester United will take confidence from their win. Liverpool, meanwhile, will need to respond quickly to avoid slipping further down the table.
