Arsenal injury update on Bukayo Saka, Piero Hincapie and Christos Tzolis

According to a report published on Thursday, October 22, 2026, Arsenal are facing fresh injury concerns involving Bukayo Saka, Piero Hincapie and Christos Tzolis ahead of their upcoming Premier League clash against Everton. The Gunners are preparing for another demanding period, with Mikel Arteta hoping to have enough fit players available to maintain the team's competitiveness in domestic and European competitions.

Saka is among the biggest concerns after suffering a quadriceps injury during Arsenal's 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League. The England international was forced off just 10 minutes into the encounter, raising concerns about his availability for the Everton fixture.

Arteta acknowledged that the winger experienced significant discomfort and explained that further medical assessments would be required to determine the severity of the problem. Although Saka could potentially return for the October 24 match, his participation remains uncertain. His absence would be a significant setback because of his creativity, attacking influence and ability to deliver crucial goals.

Meanwhile, Hincapie has provided Arsenal with some encouragement as he continues recovering from an ankle injury. The Ecuadorian defender sustained the problem during a recovery session following the club's victory over Leeds United, limiting Arteta's defensive options in recent matches.

The defender has reportedly resumed individual training, suggesting that his recovery is progressing positively. Arteta could consider him for the Everton encounter if he completes the required training sessions without experiencing further problems. However, Arsenal's medical team will carefully assess his fitness before determining whether he is ready to return to competitive action.

Tzolis is another player whose condition remains a concern. The Greek international suffered a hamstring injury while representing his country against the Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League. He was unable to finish the match and subsequently underwent medical examinations to establish the extent of the injury.

Arteta indicated that the winger would need several weeks to recover fully, leaving doubts about his availability for the Everton game. With Saka also struggling physically, Arsenal could experience reduced attacking depth if both players remain unavailable.

The situation may require Arteta to explore alternative selections as the club prepares for a busy schedule. Hincapie appears to be closest to returning, while Saka requires further assessment and Tzolis faces an uncertain recovery timeline.

Arsenal will continue monitoring all three players before making final decisions, with Arteta hoping for positive developments ahead of Saturday's encounter.
