2026 Ballon D'Or Final Top 10 Revealed

According to a report by Fabrizio Romano on Monday, October 26, 2026, the final ten contenders for the 2026 Ballon d'Or have reportedly been revealed, with some of the biggest names in world football still competing for the prestigious individual honour.

The announcement has generated considerable excitement among football supporters ahead of the award ceremony at the London Palladium in England, where the winner of the 70th edition is expected to be announced.

The ten players named in the report are Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, Lamine Yamal, Lionel Messi, Rodri, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Michael Olise, Ousmane Dembele, Erling Haaland and Fabian Ruiz.

However, the list does not represent the official finishing positions of the players. Their exact placements, from tenth to first, are expected to become known during the ceremony.

Real Madrid attacker Kylian Mbappe is considered one of the strongest candidates following another impressive season. The French international has continued to demonstrate his attacking qualities, particularly through his ability to score important goals.

Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal is also attracting considerable attention after producing remarkable performances despite his young age. His growing influence for both Barcelona and the Spanish national team has placed him among football's most highly rated talents.

England captain Harry Kane is another prominent name in contention. The Bayern Munich striker has maintained his reputation as one of Europe's most reliable goalscorers, making him a serious challenger for the award.

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is equally among the recognised contenders, having continued to demonstrate his exceptional finishing ability in front of goal.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi's reported inclusion among the final ten further underlines his remarkable longevity at the highest level. The Argentine superstar has already won the Ballon d'Or eight times.

Ousmane Dembele, who claimed the award in 2025, is also hoping to secure another victory, while Michael Olise, Rodri, Fabian Ruiz and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia complete the reported shortlist.

The report also identified several prominent footballers who failed to make the final ten.

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham was reportedly placed eleventh, while Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsi finished twelfth.

Paris Saint-Germain's Achraf Hakimi occupied thirteenth position, with his teammate Vitinha ranked fourteenth. Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice was listed in fifteenth place.

Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior reportedly finished seventeenth, while Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes was placed twenty-seventh.

The Ballon d'Or voting process involves journalists from different countries who evaluate footballers based on individual performances, team achievements and sporting conduct during the assessment period.

With the reported shortlist attracting widespread discussion, attention has now turned towards the identity of the eventual winner.

Mbappe, Kane and Yamal are expected to receive considerable support, although the involvement of established stars such as Messi, Haaland and Dembele adds further excitement to the contest.

Supporters will now await the official announcement to discover which footballer will receive one of the most prestigious individual awards in the sport.
