According to a report by Daily Post on Saturday October 24, 2026, at least three countries have been eliminated from the ongoing 2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Morocco following disappointing performances in the group stage.
The countries are Zambia, Puerto Rico and New Zealand, who all finished their respective group campaigns without a single point after losing their three matches.
Zambia's elimination was confirmed following a 1-0 defeat to France in their Group D encounter on Saturday.
In another match, Ghana secured a 2-0 victory over Canada in a Group C fixture, while Brazil defeated Norway 3-0.
Japan also recorded a convincing 2-0 win against Venezuela as the group-stage matches continued.
The results marked the conclusion of the final group-stage fixtures in Groups C and D, with the participating teams battling to secure qualification for the next round.
For Zambia, Puerto Rico and New Zealand, however, their inability to earn points in their respective groups brought their campaigns to an end.
More countries were expected to face elimination on Sunday as the remaining groups played their final matches of the tournament's first stage.
