According to a report by BBC Sport on Sunday, October 25, 2026, Chelsea Women secured a crucial 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace Women in their Women's Super League clash.
Crystal Palace started the match with confidence and took the lead in the 20th minute when Molly Bartrip found the back of the net after receiving an assist from Fuka Tsunoda, putting the home side in front and giving Chelsea a difficult task as they tried to find their way back into the game.
Chelsea struggled to get an equaliser before half-time, with both teams picking up yellow cards during a tense first half, but the visitors returned for the second half with a different approach as they made changes to improve their attacking play.
The Blues made their pressure count in the 51st minute when Melvine Malard scored the equaliser after being set up by Katie McCabe, bringing Chelsea back into the match and putting the home side under pressure.
Chelsea continued to push forward and completed the turnaround in the 75th minute, with Malard scoring her second goal of the afternoon after receiving a pass from Sandy Baltimore, who had come on as a substitute at half-time.
Crystal Palace tried to respond, but Chelsea remained organised and gave their opponents little room to find a way back into the contest, while the visitors continued to look dangerous whenever they moved forward.
The away side then sealed the win in the 90th minute when Baltimore converted a penalty, making it 3-1 and ensuring Chelsea left with a valuable victory after recovering from an early setback.
The result saw Chelsea Women move to the top of the Women's Super League table, strengthening their position in the title race, while Crystal Palace Women remained in 12th place after suffering a disappointing home defeat.
