Family affair: Priester's uncle, cousin to fly Crew's team plane to Game 3

After Game 2 of the World Series on Saturday night, the Brewers will board a charter flight to Tampa, Fla., where they will continue their quest for the first World Series title in franchise history with Game 3 on Monday.

While Milwaukee will be hitting the road -- well, the skies -- for the first time in this Fall Classic, it'll feel like home on the flight.

That's because the captain of the Crew's flight to Florida will be none other than GJ Priester -- the uncle of Brewers right-hander Quinn Priester -- according to a report by the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel (subscription required). And not only that, GJ's first officer will be Quinn's cousin, Alex.

The pair will be carrying the National League champions on a United Airlines Boeing-737, hoping that in a few days, those same Brewers will be World Series champions. It won't be the first time GJ has flown the Brewers, also having taken them from Texas to Milwaukee following a series against the Rangers in 2025.

While Quinn underwent thoracic outlet decompression surgery in June and won't be back on the mound this year, he's cheering on his teammates as they seek to make history. As are his uncle and cousin, whom he says hail from just outside Chicago, but have been converted into Brewers fans.
