After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Manchester United have been handed a major injury boost ahead of their Champions League clash with Roma on Tuesday, after Patrick Dorgu returned to training.
The Red Devils fell to a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday afternoon, taking their winless run to nine games and leaving them with just two wins in 13 games in all competitions for the season.
But Michael Carrick remains in charge of the team, and is expected to remain there until the international break at least, and the boss has been given some good news in preparation for the visit of the Serie A giants this week.
Man Utd's last Champions League game saw them take on Como in Italy with a host of absences in defence, but Carrick now has a near fully fit defence to choose from for this game.
Dorgu, who has been sidelined since the last international break after suffering a hamstring injury with Denmark, has now returned to full training and is in contention to be part of the squad against Roma, offering another option at left-back or left-wing.
Luke Shaw remains sidelined and wasn't part of the training session, which means he is likely to miss the game. Marcus Rashford, Benjamin Sesko, and Manuel Ugarte were also not involved, meaning Carrick will be without the four stars.
Leny Yoro is available to play after serving his suspension against Como for his red card at Atletico Madrid, while Lisandro Martinez is also available following his red card against Chelsea this weekend, with that suspension only applicable to domestic games.
Amad was forced off with a knock in that game too, but he was present in training and is expected to be available. Matthijs De Ligt, Ayden Heaven, and Joshua Zirkzee are all pushing for starts too.
Who got more assists?
Round 1 of 9
Carrick has made Dorgu a hugely important part of his team since taking over, with his pace and direct running a major factor in the club's good form in the second half of last season.
He also provides great work rate when tracking back, which helps defensively. His last appearance for United was the 1-1 draw against Fulham, where he picked up an assist with just six minutes on the pitch as a left-back, having previously played there against Man City and Sabah.
The manager needs players who he can trust and rely upon in these next games if he is to save his job, and that gives Dorgu a big chance of coming straight back into the starting lineup if he is available.
Rashford, Shaw and Sesko's continued absences are a blow, but the club will have been aware of that in their preparations for the game, and it shouldn't throw anything into their plans.
