'We have not seen Iraola football yet'

The Spion Kop podcast's Peter Bolster gave his thoughts on BBC Radio Merseyside on Liverpool's "fluidity" against LASK and how Lewis Koumas is beginning to look like an "established footballer".

Bolster said: "The fluidity was there, and it was nice to see because we had not seen that so far.

"When Andoni Iraola came in, you thought to yourself we were going to see some lovely attacking football, but actually some of the best improvements he has made is making sure we're not leaking goals in that transition, which we have seen very early on in the season.

"We have not seen Iraola football yet - we have seen glimpses of it against LASK.

"There is no doubt that they weren't the best opposition, and it was one of those games you couldn't really win because people were always going to throw that tag at you.

"I think when you do things well, which Liverpool did in the attacking third against LASK, it puts that confidence in you.

"Lewis Koumas made his European debut, he scored a goal in Europe, his first goal of the season.

"Away at Brentford on Saturday, fans will have more confidence in him and again that will give him more confidence.

"When you see him go through on Sunday against Manchester City, he hits it straight at the keeper. You say to yourself it is a bit unlucky, but has he got the calibre and talent to put the ball in the back of the net?

"Against LASK, every time he got the ball he looked like an established footballer."
