Nicolò Tresoldi kan Club Brugge record opleveren

Club Brugge striker Nicolò Tresoldi has emerged as a candidate to shatter the Belgian transfer record following his performances in the UEFA Champions League, where he shares the top-scorer spot with four goals after two matchdays.

Record Valuation After Inter Hattrick

The 22-year-old German forward drew intense international attention on Tuesday night by scoring a hattrick in a 4-3 victory away against Italian champions Inter. Following that performance, analysts and club observers project his eventual transfer fee to surpass the 40 million euro benchmark that Club Brugge established in the summer transfer window when Christos Tzolis departed for Arsenal.

Summer Rejection of AS Roma Bid

Club Brugge demonstrated its financial stability and long-term planning in late July by turning down a 35 million euro offer from AS Roma for Tresoldi. Club president Bart Verhaeghe noted in a September interview that the management team operates on a structured plan. While the player initially saw the adventure in Italy as an option, Club Brugge resisted the sale to avoid reinforcing the perception that the club is a pure selling club.

Wim De Coninck Projection on English Interest

Analyst Wim De Coninck suggested that Tresoldi could eventually command a fee between 50 and 60 million if English clubs engage in a bidding war. De Coninck also pointed to the immediate success of Tzolis at Arsenal as an additional negotiating advantage for the Belgian side, making their previous valuation appear conservative.

Contractual Profit-Sharing Clause

Beyond the potential transfer fee, Het Nieuwsblad reported that Tresoldi holds a specific clause in his contract that entitles him to twelve percent of the profit generated from his eventual sale, calculated after deducting the initial investment costs. Similar provisions have previously been utilized by Club Brugge, as seen in the contract of Ardon Jashari.

Winter Window Stance at Jan Breydel Stadium

Despite the rising market valuation and growing external interest, Club Brugge maintains a firm position regarding the upcoming January transfer window. Management holds no immediate financial need to sell and has kept a “Not for sale” tag on the forward, signaling that only an astronomical bid would initiate discussions when the winter mercato opens.
