Swansea City slipped to their first home defeat of the Championship season after slipping to a 1-0 defeat to West Ham United.

Divine Mukasa scored the only goal of a tense affair at the Swansea.com Stadium, although the Swans do remain top of the league.

Here's how the players rated on the day.

Lawrence Vigouroux 9 - STAR MAN

Made a string of a huge saves to keep his side in it. Can't really be blamed for the goal. Without him, West Ham might well have been out of sight.

Ronald 6

Ran his socks of as usual and did have some encouraging moments down the right. Whistled a shot just wide from 25 yards shortly after the goal. Sent a last-minute header across goal.

Ben Cabango 6

Perfectly-timed tackle on Solomon sparked the biggest cheer in an largely uneventful opening half an hour. Should have scored in the first half, and should have at least hit the target in the second, though.

Stephen Welsh 7

Made several important contributions to break down West Ham, particularly on the counter-attack. Not quite as influential with the ball at his feet, but still did pretty well on the whole.

Josh Tymon 7

Was one of Swansea's brightest attacking outlets for much of the game. Put in a series of typically pinpoint crosses that on another day might have resulted in a goal.

Marko Stamenic 5

His mistake led to the opening goal. Had another error early in the second half that was nearly punished too. Subbed.

Jay Fulton 7

Oustanding tackle in midfield to take the ball away from Kante. Mopped up fairly well for much of the afternoon, in fairness. Subbed.

Goncalo Franco 6

Worked really hard, but found himself in the land of giants at times Did okay all things considered, but not at his most influential. Subbed.

Moussa Yeo 7

Got himself into some good positions in behind the West Ham defence at times. Final ball was perhaps lacking at times, but he was often the one to pounce on any loose balls in the West Ham half. Subbed.

Adam Idah 6

Had a couple of chances and got himself into some good areas, but didn't work Mads Hermansen in the West Ham goal.

Joseph Opoku 6

Battled admirably out wide, but struggled with the physicality of the contest at times. Had some promising moments, but not quite as influential as he would have liked. Subbed.

Subs

Stephen Eustaquio (on for Fulton 56) - Snapped at a shot and put himself about well enough but couldn't find a way through - 6

Eom Jisung (on for Opoku 56) - A fairly quiet cameo - 5

Elijah Just (on for Yeo 76) - As above really - 5

Melker Widell (on for Franco 76) - Added a bit of energy on the edge of the box - 6

Zan Vipotnik (on for Stamenic 76) - Didn't really increase Swansea's goal threat - 5
