Gravenberch milestone, possible Reds record and November 1 streak - 16 stats to know before Liverpool v Arsenal
lfc-arsenal-stats-271026

The current champions head to Anfield on Sunday for a 4.30pm GMT kick-off.

With the help of Opta and club statistician Ged Rea, we have put together a pre-match trivia lowdown you can read below…

Liverpool have lost only one of their last eight Premier League games against reigning champions (won three, drawn four), suffering a 4-1 defeat in April 2023 to Manchester City. At Anfield, they have not lost such a fixture since December 2007 against Manchester United.

The last time the teams met in the league at Anfield with Arsenal as defending champions, the Reds emerged as 2-1 victors with Neil Mellor scoring a 90th-minute winner.

Ryan Gravenberch could play his 150th game for Liverpool in all competitions.

No side has more Premier League clean sheets since the start of September than the Reds (four in six matches).

Arsenal are without a victory in their last 13 Premier League visits to Anfield (drawn five, lost eight) since winning 2-0 in 2012-13.

Liverpool therefore have the chance to set a new club record of 14 league matches at home without defeat against the Gunners.

At no ground Arsenal have visited more than 10 times in the Premier League do they have a lower win rate than at Anfield (18 per cent – won six of 34).

Between January 2016 and May 2025, the 19 Premier League clashes between the clubs had at least two goals scored (78 in total, 4.1 per game). Last season, only one was scored over the two matches, with Liverpool the only side to stop Arsenal from scoring in 2025-26.

Three of the Reds' last five goals against the Gunners in the Premier League have come from set-pieces (one corner, one direct free-kick, one throw-in).

Only versus Everton (26) have the Reds drawn more Premier League games than against Arsenal.

Liverpool have won all of their last nine fixtures played at Anfield on November 1.

Alexander Isak has scored six goals in his last six Premier League matches, representing two-thirds of all the Reds' goals in those games. He has the best minutes-per-goal ratio of any player to score under Andoni Iraola in his career as a coach in Europe's so-called top five leagues.

Isak has netted in two of his last three appearances versus Arsenal in all competitions.

Alexander Isak - 27/10/2026

Arsenal have the joint-most clean sheets in the Premier League in 2026-27 (five) and have faced the fewest shots on target (24), the lowest xG (6.2) and allowed the fewest big chances (11).

In 2026, the Gunners have kept a clean sheet in 56 per cent of league matches (15/27) – their third-best tally in one year, behind 1998 (61 per cent, 23/38) and 1903 (59 per cent, 19/32).

Declan Rice (93) and Martin Odegaard (89) have made more line-breaking passes in the final third than any other players in the Premier League this season.
